Helping Those In Need

One of the many upsides of being a comedy hypnotist is that this skill set can be utilized to make the world brighter for others less fortunate. I consider myself very lucky to have been able to learn this craft from very distinguished, accomplished instructors, but most importantly to be able to do the very thing I enjoy most doing. Pure and simple it’s FUN! I enjoy the shows just as much as the audience. I’ve been doing this for a zillion years and never once have I been bored with it or disenchanted in any way. I LOVE it! Doing shows to raise funds for those in need is an added joy and it’s far more rewarding than words can express.

One of the facets I love the most  about being a comedy hypnotist is knowing that my efforts in presenting a fundraiser will ultimately make a significant difference in the quality of life for someone else.I recently did a show for an organization called Big Animals For Little Kids. This delightful group of volunteers dons whimsical animal costumes so they can cheer up kids who’re struggling because they find themselves in homeless shelters, hospitals or dreadfully disadvantaged living conditions.  These kind folks bring smiles and laughter to little ones whose world is otherwise quite bleak. Costumes and their maintenance are expensive as is a place to store them all, transportation to and from the sites,  gifts for all the children at XMAS time, insurance etc etc.The money raised from their comedy hypnosis show went a long way to defraying those expenses. I was thrilled and proud to have been a part of that. Some of the charities with which I’ve been involved are Children’s Hospital, American Cancer Society, The Liver Foundation, The Arthritis Foundation, Boys& Girl Clubs, Joyful Living Spiritual Center, United Church of Christ Food Bank, The Peace and Justice Center, Jewish Family Service, Sharp Grossmont Hospital, to name only a few.

While all shows are different, each fundraiser elicits in me the same delightful reward when I’ve provided entertainment for them. Knowing that my shows over the years have generated by now several million dollars for so many worthy causes, it gives me great joy to make the world better for someone else.
